Foran Lions back on winning track

The Foran High football team posted the game’s first four touchdowns and then traded scores with Sheehan of Wallingford to record a 41-14 SCC victory over the Titans at the Vito DeVito Sports Complex on Friday night.

Jake Kasuba threw for three touchdowns, as coach Jeff Bevino’s Lions improved to 2-1.

Andrew Melendez opened the scoring with a 4-yard run, and Sam Olsson kicked the first of his five PATs.

A 1-yard run by Melendez gave Foran a two-score lead after one period.

Kasuba then connected with Zach White on a 7-yarder and Sean Deegan from 42 yards out to extend the lead to 27-0.

Jeremy Gannon got on the board for Sheehan (1-2) with a 1-yard run to make it 27-6 at the half.

Kasuba found White for a 27-yard touchdown in the third period and Connor Cadrin scored on a 4-yard run in the final quarter.
