Jonathan Law’s Mike Plaskon and Foran High’s Jared Hubler are must-see viewing for fans, and must-stop players for the opposing defense, when the Lawmen play host to the Lions on Thanksgiving Day at 10:30 a.m. at Lawmen Stadium.

Coach Erik Larka’s 5-4 Lawmen will look to defeat coach Jeff Bevino’s 4-5 Lions for the first time in the rivalry since 2007. Foran completed its fifth straight winning season a year ago with a 43-21 victory.

Plaskon has rushed for 1,057 yards, a 7.5 per carry average, with 15 total touchdowns (nine on the ground). The junior has gained more than 100 yards in six games.

Classmate Sheldon Gargano is a lead blocker and tough runner, along with senior Alex Pratcher.

Hubler has had a breakout season at quarterback.

The senior, has accounted for 16 rushing touchdowns, behind 1,390 rushing yards (9.7 average per carry).

Hubler gained more than 100 yards in a game seven times.

When not breaking down defenses with his feet, Hubler has thrown for 1,141 yards and seven scores.

Law’s veteran o-line of David Tortora, Paulus, Storm Furtado, Abe, Austin Danville and Nick Hannah will be tasked with winning at the point of attack and providing time for quarterback Hayden Hulme.

An accomplished receiver, Hulme took over quarterbacking duties in week six and has thrown for 787 yards and eight touchdowns in going 3-1 as a starter.

Dean Pettway has caught 28 passes for 439 yards and four scores.

Ethan Saley has caught seven TD passes on 16 receptions good for 398 yards.

Cole Egersheim has 15 receptions for 207 yards.

Nathan Merchant has caught 10 passes for 103 yards and a TD.

Egersheim has made both his field goals attempts, with a long of 34 yards, and is 26-for-29 on conversion kicks.

Pettway, Abe, Boyle and Paulus are team captains.

Foran’s offensive line of Ryan Michelson, Nolan Bannon, Ryan Zarnoch, Justin DeEll and Jordan McLenithan provide gaps for Hubler, Matt Cruz (3-1 yards, 3 TDs) and Matt Kennedy (254 yards, 2 TDs).

Zac Cleary has 37 catches for 447 yards and three scores.

Max Tavitian has caught 17 passes for 244 yards and two TDs.

Cleary has kicked a 27-yard field goal and has made 10-of-19 PATs.

Leading Law’s defense will be Danville (64 tackles), Ryan Pisacane (56), Gargano (56), Abe (43), Egersheim (38), Pratcher (38), Boyle (32), Colby Primavera (29), Pettway (26) and Furtado (20) lead the Law defense.

Boyle and Egersheim have intercepted two passes each.

Foran’s defensive front boasts Todd Gentley, McLenithan, Kennedy and Bannon.

Top linebackers include Hubler, DeEll, Cruz and Tavitian.

Wootten, Reilly Barry, Rich Piscitelli and Eric Kelly man the secondary.

Cleary, Wooten, Kennedy, Hubler and Cruz are team captains.
