The Foran High football team lost to Hillhouse High, 34-21, at Bowen Field in New Haven on Friday.
Brett Huber caught two touchdown passes from Lance DiNatale and Steven Lynch scored on a 1-yard run for coach Jeff Bevino’s Lions (2-3).
Quintas Reid threw three touchdown passes for Hillhouse (4-1).
Foran took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when DiNatale connected with Huber for a 6-yard score.
Peirce Klein made the first of three conversion kicks.
Hillhouse tied the game on Reid’s 17-yard pass to Byron Breland and Breland’s PAT kick.
The Academics took a 14-7 lead into the half after Keon Jackson caught an 18-yard TD pass from Reid.
Lynch’s TD run was the only score in the third quarter.
Hillhouse took a 21-14 lead on Chase Kinzly’s 24- yard TD catch.
David Harris’s 14 run took the score to 28-14.
DiNatale found Huber for a 9-yard TD before Hillhouse closed the game out on Derrick Sims’ 12-yard interception return.
