The combined Jonathan Law and Foran High fencing team took a total of 11 wins at the Connecticut High School Individual Fencing Championships in Fairfield.

Captain and senior Amanda Shaw led her girls to three wins, as Kavitha Mohanarajan, Arshia Puri and Madisyn Rauscher battled against the best foilists and epeeists, winning multiple points and bouts and never giving up.

In the men’s division, Troy Gallipoli and Brandon Comacho notched a win in their first appearance on the big stage in epee.

In men's foil, Victor Rosado and Ben Kissinger scored three victories, with Foran freshman Kissinger advancing farther than any Milford High School fencer in the last three years. Kissinger made it all the way to the second round of direct elimination, finally going down in an epic 13-15 loss to the eventual number two fencer in the state.

Finally, Milford’s three men's sabre fencers worked together scoring four wins to place high enough to qualify for the Team State Fencing Championships at North Haven. Cellan Whaley, Matteo Menta and men’s captain Andrew Hiza will represent Milford at this invitation-only event.
