Connor Falaguerra caught a pair of touchdown passes from Will Arndt when Western Connecticut State University opened its season with a 63-17 loss to 25th-ranked Widener University in Chester, Pa. on Saturday.
Falaguerra, a freshman out of Jonathan Law, caught scoring passes of five and 27 yards in the second quarter of the Division III season opener for both teams.
Falaguerra finished with six receptions for 48 yards.
Ryan Falaguerra, a 2011 Law grad, handled the punting duties and averaged 42 yards on his nine kicks for first-year head coach Joe Loth.
Matt Szygiel, a sophomore strong safety from Law, had a solo tackle.
Law’s Paul Mastrianna is a freshman strong safety.
