Boys soccer: Lawmen defeat Easties, 5-2, on Senior Night
The Jonathan Law boys soccer team defeated East Haven, 5-2, on Senior Night Thursday.
Colby Brennan started the scoring for coach Michael Gruber’s Lawmen off a feed from Thomas Kinross.
Antonio Gjuraj then scored the second goal off a great give-and-go from Kris Gjuraj in the 25th minute.
East Haven’s Kevin Oliveres scored off a free kick in the 29th minute before Dennis Sweeney assisted Taylan Altin in the 30th minute to increase the Lawmen lead to 3-1.
Law’s Kevin Linn tallied the fourth goal to make it 4-1 at halftime.
In the second half, Altin scored his second goal of the game with Linn earning the assist.
Pablo Mirandi scored the final goal for East Haven.
Law’s Jaret Petrie had two saves in goal. Jack Pincus Coyle and Eion Bryne each had two stops apiece.
Jonathan Law ends that season at 4-11-1.
