Chris Goglia’s second goal with seven minutes remaining gave Foran High a 2-1 victory over Coginchaug from Durham in boys soccer action on Wednesday.
Lion goalie Evan Miller made a save on a penalty kick in the 76th minute to preserve the win for coach Rick DiStefano’s Lions (1-2-1).
Goglia opened the scoring in the 19th minute, with Ryan Young getting the assist.
Coginchaug (2-2) tied the game on Jeremy Orozco’s unassisted goal with nine minutes left in the non-league match.
Glaymer Cardona assisted on Goglia’s tally two minutes later.
The Lions won the shots on goal battle, 21-7.
Miller had six saves.
Coginchaug’s Kyle Roberts had four stops.
