Ben LaVallee leads Indians to 6-1 victory

The Milford ice hockey team defeated Lyman Hall/Haddam-Killingworth, 6-1, on Saturday.

Coach Sal Follo’s Indians improved to 5-4-1 and LHHK fell to 3-6.

John DePalma had 11 saves and posted a shutout after LHHK took a 1-0 lead at 2:34 of the first period.

Milford had five goals in the first period and added another tally in the third.

Ben LaVallee tied the game with assists going to Will Vitelli and Jon DePascale at 3:52.

Vitelli gave Milford the lead at 5:58, with Zach White and LaVallee assisting.

Tommy Sampson’s goal from Andrew Gobany made it 3-1.

LaVallee from White, and Vitelli from White and LaVallee, made it 5-1.

Jason Comeau from Dylan Hallett completed the scoring.
