The Foran High baseball team used a two-out rally in the bottom of the seventh inning to down crosstown rivals Jonathan Law, 4-3, in an SCC Hammonasset Division thriller on Wednesday.

Justin Lanese belted a two-out base hit that landed on the warning track in right field, after Law reliever Conor Creane (0-1) put the first two outs of the inning in the books.

Bailey Wheeler reached on a two-out error to prolong the innning, before Brett Huber followed with a sharp single to center. Lanese then provided the walk-off heroics.

T.J. Stuart (1-1) won the game in relief of starter Drew Corsi, striking out four batters in two innings of work and allowing just a bunt single to Tom Marchitto.

Law took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, when Mitchell Smith scored on Kyle Frey’s mishandled two-out grounder that Corsi could not corral.

Frank Mucciacciaro doubled the Lawmen lead in the second, driving in Marchitto with an RBI single.

Law starter Jeremiah Bravo no hit the Lions (3-2) through three innings — allowing just a walk to Huber to start the game — before a towering three-run home run by Colin Firmender put Foran ahead 3-2 in the fourth.

Huber, who went 1-for-1 with three walks, drew a free pass from Bravo and Lanese moved him over with a sacrifice bunt. Bryan Firmender was then hit by a pitch, Brian Wydra flied out and Colin Firmender unloaded a three-run shot to right center.

After James Mucciacciaro and David Payne walked, Bravo was lifted in favor of Joe Prizio, who got John Lickteig to fly out to right.

The Lawmen struck back in the top of fifth.

With two on and two out, Nick Glorioso hammered a single back through the box to tie the game at 3.

The two teams meet again on May 2 at Law.
