The Jonathan Law baseball team defeated Branford High, 3-1, in SCC action at George Dummar Field in Branford on Friday.

Law (6-6) scored two runs in the first inning and one in the fifth.

Frank Mucciacciaro had two hits and an RBI and Kyle Frey drove home two runs for coach Greg Simler’s Lawmen.

Branford (6-5) scored its run in the fourth inning.

Bryce Baker had three of Branford’s four hits.

Jeremiah Bravo (2-1) pitched into the fifth inning for Law.

Nate Merchant, Joe Prizio and Rob Griswold came on in relief, with Griswold earning his fourth save.

Greg Bradshaw (2-3) allowed only five hits in taking the loss.
