Nick and Justin Shanley from Milford are playing men’s lacrosse for coach Guy Bourdon at Assumption University in the Division II Northeast-10 Conference.

Assumption finished with a 2-2 record prior to the cancellation of the 2020 spring season and was ranked sixth in the Northeast-10's Northeast Division in the 2021 Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Notre Dame-West Haven graduates, the Shanley brother tandem each played in the abbreviated season.

Nick, now a senior midfielder who scored 110 points at Notre Dame, recorded seven goals and 13 assists for a total of 20 points in the abbreviated season. He picked up six ground balls and had a shot on goal percentage of .765.

As a freshman midfielder, Justin scored two goals and had an assist for three points. He picked up six groundballs and had a shot on goal percentage of .800. Justin was All-SCC at Notre Dame and a second team All-State selection.

This year, Nick’s second goal gave the Greyhounds a 9-7 lead against Franklin Pierce before their league rival scored the final three goals to win 10-9 on April 14.
