Law tops Bunnell, Green leads with 18 points

Shelby Green scored 18 points when Jonathan Law defeated Bunnell 55-18 in the girls’ basketball season opener for both teams on Tuesday.

Coach Dan Young’s team led 26-0 after one quarter, 29-2 at the half.

“The girls came out with high energy and set the tone defensively,” Green said. “The starters got a great start and we had great contributions from the bench. It was great to be back in the gym and start our season with a win.”

Mariyah Reid scored 10 points.

Sabrina Lawless and Nicolina Salanto each chipped in with nine.

Paige Jolley hit a 3-pointer.

Jenna Wasserman had a bucket.

Chloe Haasch and Zoe Johnson made free throws.

Bunnell was led by Vovanna Cruz (10 points), Jannae Williams and Maya Soto.

Law will host Mercy Friday at 7.
