Foran boys cross country places third at Neubauer Invitational

Nathanael Huebner took third to propel the Foran boys’ country team to a second-place finish at the 32nd annual Neubauer Invitational in Wallingford.

Huebner’s time of 18:18.10 was bettered only by Portland’s Owen Delisle (17:19.70) and Law’s Liam Fedigan (17:24.80) in the field of 59 runners.

Coach Jeff Raucci’s Lions posted a score of 85. Portland (40) won the team title.

Sophomore Max Newtown medaled (top 10) with a time of 18:30.60 that was good for sixth.

Senior Damon Downs was 20th in 19:29. Junior Tighe Duggan took 27th (19:52.60). Senior Joshua Cummings was 29th (19:53.80).

Junior Kevin Chen placed 38th in 20:27. Senior Jake Duggan was 49th in 21:29.40.

James Galaburri was second in the Junior Varsity race with a time of 20:44.90. Cole Cahill was third in 20:49.60.
