Letter: Kim Rose cares about Milford

To the Editor:

I am writing today in support of Kim Rose for state representative.

Kim truly cares about her community and she has proven it. Kim has a long history of being a community activist, she is always ready to stand up for her neighbors when she is called upon.

From fighting affordable housing, standing with her neighbors to stop the Dump at 990, she stood with parent's when St. Gabriel School was closed, she stood with residents and worked with state officials to put a hold on any development at Silver Sands State Park, Kim has been there for her neighbors.

Kim remains visible and strong in our community. She supports many local nonprofits and organizations. She is a board member to the Boys and Girls Club, a member of the Devon Rotary, a life member of the VFW Post 7788, the American Legion Post 196, the Milford Elks, Milford Irish Heritage Society, the Milford Historical Society and Milford Preservation.

Kim also created and maintains the Village of Devon Facebook page and started and manages the successful Village of Devon Farmer's Market, now in its fifth year.

Kim has dedicated her life to making Milford a better place to live and raise a family. Kim is a strong, independent and effective leader. There is no better choice than Kim to represent us in Hartford.
