State Rep. Kim Rose has received the endorsement of the Connecticut Working Families Party, a grassroots coalition of community organizations, union activists and elected officials.

As a result of the endorsement, Rose will appear on the ballot twice, as the nominee of the Democratic Party and the Working Families Party.

"Kim understands how critical small businesses are to Milford, and her leadership on conservation and sustainable development is exactly the kind of innovative thinking we need to move our economy forward, not just in Milford, but all of Connecticut," said Connecticut Working Families Party Director Lindsay Farrell.

“I’m thrilled to have the backing of The Working Families Party,” Rose said in a prepared statement. “They fight each and every day to grow Connecticut’s middle class and ensure we have an economy that works for everyone. I look forward to working with WFP on issues like debt free college and paid family leave.”

Prior to serving in the General Assembly, Rose served as vice chair of the Milford Planning and Zoning Board, and co-founded the Downtown Milford Business Association. She is the Democratic Party nominee for the State Senate in the 118th District. Rose lives in Milford.
