STAMFORD — Police said a man claims to have nearly been robbed at knife point in the Stamford Town Center mall.

Sgt. Kenneth Jarrett said a 40-year-old man, walking around the mall on Nov. 27 at about 6:15 p.m., said he was approached by two teenage boys. One of the teens pulled out a knife and demanded money.

The man said that he did not stop when they approached and walked away, keeping them in his line of sight kept. The two did not try to stop him from leaving, Jarrett said.

The man described the duo as wearing dark or black hoodies with the hoods pulled up over their heads; one of the teens was in black pants and the other in white. Jarrett said that was all the police had as a description for the two.
