MILFORD — City police are asking for residents who live in the area of recent criminal activity to check if they caught the suspects on video surveillance footage.

Police said numerous unlocked vehicles were entered early Tuesday morning in the area of Lexington Green and Fresh Meadow Lane.

Investigating officers said they believe the incidents may be related, and asked anyone with surveillance cameras that captured footage of suspicious activity Tuesday morning to send it to mbrennan@milfordct.gov in reference to case number 4652-20.

After Tuesday’s incidents, police urged residents to remember to lock their vehicles, remove valuables and take all keys and key fobs inside their homes. Police also encouraged residents to check the batteries on their key fobs to ensure the key is actually locking the car.

“Take away the opportunity for theft,” police said. “If you see or hear anything suspicious please call us when it happens.”

Suspicious activity can be reported to police at 203-878-6551 or by 911 in the event of an emergency.
