Bernard M. Murphy, Sr., age 75, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to Carole Schubert Murphy, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Staten Island, NY on March 15, 1938, he was the son of the late Richard M. and Rose Farrel Murphy. A dedicated parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Church, Bernie served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. He enjoyed photography and working with computers. A kind, loving and generous man, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Carole of 54 years, he is survived by his children; Patricia Eno (Matthew) of RI, Judy Messologitis (Constantine) of Milford, Donna Adams of VA, Timothy Murphy (Karen) of N. Branford and Jeffrey Murphy (Dana) of E. Haven. Also his cherished grandchildren; Despina, Katerina, Alexandra, Victoria, Ryan, Liam, Catherine Hayley and Charlotte; his siblings; Elizabeth Monahan, Joseph Murphy and Roseanne Macri and many other loving friends and family members. He was predeceased by his beloved son Bernard Murphy, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 11:00 am (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH) at Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Rd., Milford, CT.
