Ann Seresin, age 88, of Milford passed away peacefully at Milford Hospital, on Saturday, March 7, 2015, with her loving husband and family by her side.She was born on August 16, 1926 in New Brunswick, NJ, The daughter of the late Anton Premak and Anna Zinko Premak, Ann grew up in Bridgeport and graduated from Harding High School and Butler Business School.\u00a0 She worked at Columbia Records until she started her family, and later worked at Burndy Corporation, where she retired after 24 years.Ann is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, George Seresin of Milford, and six children: Darlene Seresin and husband Robert Main of North East, MD; Georgiana Seresin and partner Gary Kolakowski of Durham, CT; Yuri Seresin of New Haven, CT; Michael Seresin and wife Lynn Seresin of Wallingford, CT; Kim Seresin and husband Chris Queeney of Bethlehem, CT; and Kristen Malone and husband Richard Malone of Milford. Ann was blessed with seven grandsons: Alexei Main and wife Jessica, Nicholai Main, Matthew Seresin, Patrick Seresin and wife Chelsea, Daniel Seresin, Ian Malone and Casey Malone. She also warmly welcomed stepgrandchildren, Chloe and Dani Darraugh, into the family. Ann had numerous nieces, nephews, and great nephews, but the newest joy in her life was 2-year-old, great-grandson Charlie Seresin.Ann will always be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor, and loving and generous soul. She always had an open door and a place at the table for everyone.\u00a0 She especially loved to work with her hands and always had her toolbox ready, whether she was crocheting, crafting or building one of her beloved doll houses. Ann also enjoyed baking and was famous for her carrot cake, pistachio cake and apple pie.She will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew her.She is predeceased by her sister Sally Adzima, brothers Alexander, John and Michael Premak.The family would like to thank the staff at Milford Hospital, including the Hospice staff, for the exceptional care and support given to Ann and her family.Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 13th at 9 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, Ansonia for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John\u2019s Cemetery, Stratford.
