Andrew Potak, age 91, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Anna Patrick Potak, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in Lord Chamberlain Health Center, Stratford. Andy, a WW II Veteran of the U.S. Navy was born in Stratford to the late Andrew and Mary (Strich) Potok and has been a life long area resident. He was a graduate of Stratford High School Class of 1941, and was employed for many years by Dresser Industries. Andy was an active member of the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist in Bridgeport, and their Seniors Group. Survivors include his brothers, Peter Potak of Milford, and Nicholas Potok of Stratford, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife, and parents, he was pre-deceased by his brothers, Joseph, Thomas and Paul, and sisters, Marie Kortak and Helen Dale. The Potak family would like to thank the staff of Lord Chamberlain and Connecticut Hospice for their kind and loving care. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 18th at 9:30am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 am in the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Mill Hill Avenue Bridgeport, for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John\u2019s Cemetery Stratford.
