Meriel Marston Gregory, aged 92, of Redding died on December 28th at her daughter\u2019s home in Mystic where she was visiting for the holidays. She was born on January 2nd 1920 in Long Island City, New York, to Ann Bowley Marston and Fred Marston. She graduated from Weylester Junior College and the New York School of Interior Design. On May 12th 1945 she was married to the late Frederick Miles Gregory. Meriel was an astute business woman, interior designer, avid bridge player and world traveler. Always entrepreneurial, she was the founder of the Milford\/Gregory Telephone Answering Service and played an active, early role in the birth of NESS Corp, also once headquartered in Milford. As a fifty year resident of Redding she enthusiastically gave her support to the League of Women Voters, the Mark Twain Library and land conservation efforts. She was reading the \u201cLife of Lyndon Johnson\u201d on her Kindle the night before she died. She is survived by her sons, Fred and Allen Gregory, her daughter Susanne Taylor Stockwell, grandchildren Stephanie, Katherine and Adam Gregory and her lifetime friend Gaye Davis.
