Cecilia (Mickey) nee Guerin Kabe, 94, formerly of Devon, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 in West Haven, CT.Daughter of the late Martha (Pencen\/Pesonen) and Cornelius Francis Guerin, born on November 4, 1917 in New York City, New York. Cecilia graduated from Assisium Business Institute in New York City in 1934. She went on to work at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx where she met her future husband, Joseph Austin Kabe (who nick- named her Mickey). They were married on April 23, 1943 in Devon, with both of them working at Chance-Vaught Manufacturing Co, in Bridgeport.Cecile and Joe purchased a home in the Devon section of Milford; where they lived for more than 50 years, raising their two children; Marsha Joan, and Joseph Franklin. Mickey continued to work throughout her married life at Bridgeport Thermostat, later becoming Robert Shaw until she retired.She was a member of St. Ann\u2019s Roman Catholic Church of Devon. She enjoyed gardening especially her roses, and trips to the beach.Mickey was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe, her granddaughter Evelyn Marie Ziebell, her brothers Rodney Cornelius, Kenneth Francis, and her sister Jean M. Rees.Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Marsha J. (William (Skip)) Ziebell of Milford, Grandson, William J. (Angela) Ziebell; Great-grand daughters Sage Elizabeth and Haven Audrey of San Francisco, CA. Granddaughter Marcellette J. Ziebell, of Middletown, CT; Great-grand-children Katharine Elizabeth., Ashley, and Robert; Great- granddaughter Alicia Krieder, mother of Great-great-grandson Noah Ryan Monroe and Great-granddaughter Emmalee Winter Alexander. Grandson John F. (Leeann) Ziebell of New Haven, Great-grandsons, Jonathan, Daniel, Joseph, and Benjamin. Cecilia\u2019s son Joseph F. Kabe (Virginia (Ginny)) of Clinton, CT. Grand-daughter, Jennifer Lee (Lars) Vigen, of East Lyme, CT and great-grand-sons, Dakota Fox and Kolbein Rein Vigen.Friends may call at the Gregory F.
