Teresa P. Domkowski, age 97 of Fairfield and formerly a longtime resident of Milford and beloved wife for 38 years to the late William Walter Domkowski, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 1st at the Jewish Home in Fairfield.

Teresa graduated from Misericordia College in Dallas, PA in 1938 with a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics, receiving a teacher’s certification. She relocated to Bridgeport and worked at Manning, Maxwell & Moore (Dresser Industries) in Stratford as a time study analyst.
She married William on November, 5th, 1949 and they moved to Milford in 1954 to raise their family. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Milford and a founding member of the St. Mary’s Guild.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, playing pinochle, going for daily walks, and an interest in natural health and wellness; but her greatest joy of all was spending time with her family.
Teresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Teresa (Chester) Galemba of Shelton, Robert (Susan) Domkowski of Milford, William (Debbie) Domkowski and Paula (David) Sogan of Guilford; her cherished grandchildren, Justin (Amy) Zywocinski, Ashley (Daniel) Coelho, Michael Domkowski and Brent Domkowski, and her great grandchildren, Zack and Walker Zywocinski as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Pearl Kotinsley, Eleanor Hickman and her son-in-law, Dr. Philip Zywocinski.
The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks to the wonderful caregivers from Euro-Home Care for 7 years while living at home and the caring staff of Bennett 5 while residing at the JHE.
