Robert Stephen Nagy, age 86, of Milford beloved husband of the late Mary E. Nagy passed away peacefully on February 19, 2014.
Born in Bridgeport in 1927 he was the son of the late Stephen and Lillian Nagy. He moved with his family to Milford in 1973 and has been a resident since.
Bob loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He showed how compassionate and loving a person should be as he cared for his beloved wife Mary till her journey here on earth ended and she passed on to eternal life. His family knows he is with her now and that they will both be keeping an angelic eye on them from heaven. Bob served as an example to his children and family and spoke volumes through his loving actions.
Robert served his country in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War including serving on the USS Worcester, a light cruiser. He retired as an accountant with the City of Bridgeport and previous to that was an accountant at Sikorsky Aircraft. He was also fond of telling stories of his time as a soda jerk at the Beechmont Dairy during his teen years! Bob served as Committee Chair and Cubmaster with Cub Scout Pack 32 of the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid New Haven Nighthawks and New York Ranger hockey fan and loved his alma-mater UCONN Huskies! But absolutely nothing meant more to Pop and Grandma than the time they got to spend with their grandchildren!!
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ellen Busillo of Fairfield, a son, Robert Nagy Jr of Milford, his five grandchildren: Andrew and Eugene Nagy, and Robert, Dean, and Becca Busillo; his cherished nieces and nephews, and his caretaker and special friend Luke Smith.
