Marion E. Moreno, 82 of Milford, beloved wife of the late Antonio Moreno, died March 12, 2014 at Milford Hospital.
Marion was born in New Milford, June 10, 1931 daughter of the late Elizabeth Griffing Smith.
She was an avid Yankee fan and was a lifelong active Girl Scout Leader for over 40 years and continued to be involved through the Girl Scout Buddy meetings and was one of the founding members of Brownie Day.
Marion loved to crochet and assisted children through Afghan Grannies.
She is survived by her devoted children Antonio Moreno Jr. and his wife Rosemary of Stratford, Gary Moreno, Melody Dunn and her husband John of Milford and Buffetina Rivera of South Carolina, eight grandchildren Antonio III, Michael, Alison, Sean, David, Nicholas, Santorini and Antonia and five great grandchildren, a sister Lorraine Sorrentino of Milford.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is predeceased by a brother Troy Smith and sister Patricia Bodnar.
Calling hours will be held Sunday March 16th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. Funeral Monday at 11:00 am in The Church of the Holy Spirit, 28 Church St. West Haven. Burial will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery Milford.
