Margery Ann Raper, age 87, of West Gardiner, Maine and formerly of Milford, beloved wife of the late Harold Haytock and Fred Raper, died on October 9th.
Margery was born in Milford, CT on August 30, 1927 to the late Oscar and Helen Root Widinghoff.
She worked as a bookkeeper at Read’s Department Store in Bridgeport for many years.
Margery loved to travel and take long scenic road trips. She loved swimming and adored cats.
Survivors include her brother, Richard Widinghoff (Evie) of Milford, CT., Daughters; Ginny Kabe (Joseph) of Clinton, CT., and Joyce Corey (Ralph) of West Gardiner, ME., Grandchildren: Jennifer Vigen (Lars) of Old Lyme, CT., Kelly Thornhill of Portland, ME.,Tracy Thornhill of West Gardiner, ME, Andrea Thornhill of Kennesaw, GA., Great grandchildren: Kaylee Keenan of West Gardiner, ME., Dakota Fox, Kolbein and Kaia Vigen of Old Lyme, CT., and Henry Langford of Kennesaw, GA. Step-grandchildren; Dustin Corey (Stephanie) of Bangor, ME, Melissa Corey of Presque Isle, ME., and Jamie Corey of Eagle Lake, ME. Step-great grandchildren; Asa, Silas, and Jadon Corey of Bangor, ME, Hanna Corey of Presque Isle, ME., and Conner Corey of Eagle Lake, ME.
Margery is predeceased by her son, John Haytock of Milford, CT. and her sister, Barbara House of Port Jefferson, NY.
A private graveside service will be held.
