Obituary: Lily Graham Tuttle, 81, of Milford

Lily Graham Tuttle, age 81, longtime resident of Milford and beloved wife to Douglas Tuttle, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Born in Bridgeport on May 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Lillian Graham.

A former Sunday school teacher, Lily belonged to the Sterling House in Stratford and loved to shop, craft and garden in her leisure time.

Caring and generous, Lily was a kind neighbor, and enjoyed spending times with her former schoolmates at their monthly luncheons. She was considered a bird-whisperer to her family and friends, never passing up an opportunity to feed them and enjoy their playful activities in the yard.

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Lily’s greatest joy was her time spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Douglas of 50 years, she is survived by her children; Susan Lee Wiedenmann (Paul) of Durham, Judith Graham Chapman (Harold) of Guilford, VT; her cherished grandchildren, Isabelle Rose Wiedenmann, Emma May, Abby Lee and David John Chapman and her very dear friend Maggie McCord.

Friends and family may call on Monday, June 23rd from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 12:00 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas TX 75265 or CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington CT 06111.
