Obituary: Lawrence “Larry” W. Pitcher, 66, of Milford

Lawrence “Larry” W. Pitcher, age 66, of Milford, beloved husband of Lorna Ferranti Pitcher for 49 years, died on Saturday, August 23.

Larry was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 17, 1948 to the late Reginald and Gwendolyn Hickey Pitcher.

Larry attended Villanova College before serving our country honorably in Vietnam for 5 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Devon and was an avid Mets Fan. Larry worked as a meat cutter at A&P for 15 years and retired from Stop & Shop.

Survivors include his children: Carol Ann Pitcher Westphal (Mathew) of West Haven, Matthew R. Pitcher (Trisha) of Milford and Lawrence J. Pitcher (Alicia) of Naugatuck, grandson, Nicholas James Westphal, and sister, Regina Scheltmyer (Lawrence) of Norwalk.

Larry is predeceased by his sister, Lynn Reagan.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, August 27th from 4:00PM-7:00PM in The Gregory F Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Interment will be private.
