Laura M. Bernard, age 48 of Milford, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 21.
Laura was born in Bridgeport on May 19, 1965 to Sheila Keane Bernard and the late Albert W. Bernard.
She graduated from Jonathan Law HS in 1983 and received a BA Degree in English Literature from the University of Bridgeport in 1988.
Her passion was to write and she was a social activist for many neglected individuals. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Gabriel Church and a devout catholic.
Survivors include her siblings: George A. Bernard and his wife, Lia of MD, Jacqueline A. Bernard of Milford and Daniel V. Bernard and his wife, Dawn of Wisconsin, nieces; Thana and Sabila Bernard and aunt, Evelyn Melanson of MA.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, April 29th at 10:30AM in St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 8:30AM-10:00AM in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.
