John Dewey, age 85, of Milford and formerly of Cheshire, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 11, 2014 at West River Health Care Center in Milford.
Born on November 7, 1928 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Helen Snedeker Dewey.
John served with great pride and honor in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, John was a regional manager for The Commercial Union Insurance Company.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Judith Zamecnik of Orange and Joan Mawney of GA; nieces and nephews, James Zamecnik (Susan) of VT, Thomas Zamecnik (Catherine) of Clinton, Daniel Zamecnik of UT, Anne Davis (Stephen) of Clinton and Sandra Rogers (Randy) of GA.
The family will be having a private service at a later date and the arrangements are being handled by the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.
