Obituary: Jeanne Allegretti Mancini, 90, formerly of Stratford

Jeanne Allegretti Mancini age 90 formerly of Stratford and North Fort Myers, FL. beloved wife of the late Michael Mancini passed away peacefully on February 20, 2014 in Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center with her loving family by her side.

Jeanne was born on June 10, 1923 in Ramsey, NJ and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Lamastra Allegretti.

She spent her childhood in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Stratford and working at Chance Vought Company, where she met Michael Mancini who she would marry and raise three children with. Jeanne was employed as a school bus driver, managed the Howie Drive Inn in Stratford, and was a former manager of San Souci Lakes Mobile Park in North Fort Myers, FL.

Jeanne is survived by one daughter, Mary Jean Baldieri and husband Fred of Milford, six grandchildren Michael Mancini and wife Mary Ann, Michelle Chernesky and husband Michael, Ann Marie Bautz and husband Michael, Fred Baldieri and wife Jennifer, Darrin Mancini and wife Leslie and Dawn Mancini, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, one brother Richard Allegretti of Summerfield, FL, two daughters-in-law, Carol Mancini and Deborah Mancini and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved husband Michael, Jeanne was also predeceased by two sons, Michael and Carl, five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will take place on Monday February 24, 2014 at 10:30 AM in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home 2220 Main Street Stratford and at 11:00 AM in the Holy Name of Jesus Church 1950 Barnum Avenue Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Andrew G. Marus. Entombment will follow in St. Michael’s Garden Mausoleum. Friends may call on Monday from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home.
