
Helen M. Kader, age 89, of Milford, beloved wife of the late James J. Kader, died peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2014.
Helen was born in Bridgeport, CT on March 6, 1925 to the late Paul and Mary Sekelsky Moyher.
She worked as a supervisor for SNET for over 30 years. She was a longtime parishioner and very active in Saint Gabriel Church. She was known as the “cookie lady” during the Saint Gabriel picnics each summer and loved to garden and make crafts. Helen was also a member of the Milford Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include her children: Janice Troll (Michael) of Sandy Hook, Kenneth Kader of Branford, Maribeth Artz (John) of West Haven, James J. Kader Jr. (Candi) of Bethany, and Gregory Kader (Barbara) of Milford, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister, Christine Lapinski of Woodbridge and brother, William Moyher (Mary Ellen) of Huntington.
Helen is predeceased by her granddaughter, Terri Himes and four siblings.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 22nd at 10:30AM DIRECTLY in Saint Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford. Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Saint Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford.
