Gordon C Lundeen, age 87 of Shelton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 15, 2014 in the CT Hospice, Branford. He is the devoted husband of 61 years to Shirley Goodenough Lundeen.
Son of the late Rev. Albin and Hilma Lundeen, he was born in Warren, MN on Oct 12, 1926.
He was a valley resident for most of his life and was a graduate of Shelton High School, class of 1944. He was a Navy veteran serving his country during WWII and worked at the former B.F. Goodrich and Farrell Corporation.
He is the beloved father of Douglas Lundeen and his wife Laurie, Donna Anderson and her husband Richard, and Darrick Lundeen and his wife Melissa. He also leaves 8 cherished grandchildren and 4 adoring great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his two brothers and his sister.
A funeral service was held at Riverview Funeral Home and burial with full military honors took place at the state Veteran’s Cemetery in Middletown.
