“I’ll take care of it.” Frank Pizzuti, Sr., age 75, was that kind of man. Longtime summer resident of Milford and winter resident of Fort Myers Beach, FL, and beloved husband to Earlene “Lee” Caswell Pizzuti, Frank entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 25, 2014.
Born in New Haven on June 30, 1938, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Pesapane Pizzuti.
Frank and Lee started their family in West Haven, later moving to Woodbridge with their sons, then onto the Milford shore. Frank, being “one hell of a sportsman!”, was one of the original founding members of the Woodbridge Father’s Baseball League where he coached both his sons. At age 60, Frank found a passion for tennis, winning the 2001 Milford Tennis Tournament only three years later. As an avid history buff, Frank enjoyed reading, politics and walking on the beach.
Always ready to lend a hand, Frank was known for his helpfulness and kindness as a caring neighbor; who whenever asked, always replied “I’ll take care of it.”
In addition to his wife, Lee, he is survived by his two sons, Frank Pizzuti, III and David Pizzuti and his wife Mindy; his sister Rose Carr and her husband Alan and their children Brad, Rachel, and Sarah; and many loving nieces and nephews, and two step-grandchildren, all of whom loved “Uncle Butch” dearly.
He was predeceased by is sisters, Phyllis Pinto and Rubyanne Pizzuti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford. Interment to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
