Daniel E. O’Sullivan, age 71, of Stratford, passed away in his home on Saturday, July 26, 2014.
Daniel, the youngest of 8 children, was born April 27, 1943 in Bridgeport to the late Daniel F. and Teresa (Bannon) O’Sullivan and grew up in Milford.
He had been a member of the Asbestos Workers Union Local #33 since 1967 and traveled throughout the United States working in construction before joining the City of Bridgeport in 1988 as an asbestos site-supervisor.
In 2000 Daniel became the Designated Person representing the Bridgeport school district to all regulatory agencies under the AHERA Act. He retired in 2010.
He is survived by his beloved wife Susan (Peterson) O’Sullivan, his sons Timothy and Neil O’Sullivan, a brother Robert O’Sullivan and his wife Ginger of Trumbull, a sister-in-law Gail O’Sullivan of Poughkeepsie, NY, a brother-in-law Gerald Miller of Myrtle Beach, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers James and Edward O’Sullivan, sisters Mary McGovern, Theresa Kennedy, Eileen Miller and Geraldine Curley.
Friends may greet his family on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 4-7 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A Prayer Service will take place at 5:00 pm. Interment will be Private.
