Arliss G. Blake, Jr., age 75, lifelong resident of Milford passed away at Bridgeport Hospital on Sunday, May 11, 2014.
Born on November 25, 1938 in Meriden, CT., he was the son of the late Arliss Blake, Sr., and Cecile House Blake King.
Arliss served with pride and honor in the United States Air Force and was a graduate from the University of Bridgeport. Arliss was a dedicated registered nurse at the Veteran’s Hospital in West Haven for over 25 years.
He was active in the theater, enjoyed movies and traveling and loved learning all types of trivia facts.
He is survived by his sisters Dorothy La Branche of Waterbury, Louise Tyler of CT., Lucille Martocci of Orlando, FL., and Laura Wzresenski of E. Haven and twenty nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Henry and his twin, Stetson.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 16th at 12 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Interment to follow at Milford Cemetery. Friends and family may call prior to the service from 10 am to 12 pm.
