To the Editor:

Representative Kim Rose has been a true champion for Milford and especially our town’s veterans. She has demonstrated a genuine commitment to our veteran community and deserves our support in the November election.

In the legislature, Kim supported additional investments in job creation programs such as Step Up, which encourages employers to hire veterans and the unemployed. Programs like Step Up will not only help veterans, but also our economy. In Milford alone, almost 100 Veteran's have been hired through this program.

I know of many people, including myself, who have been helped by Kim when we’ve needed assistance in cutting through government red tape. Kim has always responded personally when we need her most.

When it comes to veterans issues and helping our community cope with local challenges, Kim Rose has always been there working hard for us and making sure that our concerns and best interests are protected.

With so many veterans returning home from active duties these days, members of the military need to stay informed about programs that have been put in place to help them, and Kim has worked to keep them informed.

We all know these times are difficult, and we need a proven, responsive leader like Kim who represents our best interests. I hope you will join me in re-electing Kim on Nov. 4.
