Obituary: Susan Banyas Miller, 57, of Stratford, formerly of Milford
Susan Banyas Miller, 57, of Stratford, beloved wife of Russell G. Miller, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 29, 2013 in St. Vincent’s Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Daughter of the late Frank and Ruth E. Banyas, Susan was born on January 26, 1956 in Bethesda, MD, grew up in Fairfield and spent most of her life in Milford.
Susan attended Rodger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield and Katherine Kibbs School in Norwalk. While attending school and working part-time at Fairfield A&P, she met the love of her life Russ.
In addition to her husband of 37 years, she is survived by her loving children, Christopher Miller and his wife Florencia Bugatti, of Milford and Gregory Miller and his fiancé Heather Paige of Orange.
In addition, she will be greatly missed by her cherished grandchildren, Colin and Gavin Miller. She is also survived by her brother William Banyas of New London.
She was predeceased by her brother Frank Banyas Jr.
Susan’s family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rafael P. Squitieri and Dr. Edward Kosinski for their untiring attention to Susan. We would also like to thank the staff of St. Vincent’s ICU unit on the eighth floor.
Susan loved life to the fullest and possessed an unending commitment to her family and her coworkers at Foran High School’s food service and Milford Hospital. In addition to spending precious moments with her family, she treasured the nightly walks at Anchor Beach in Milford she had taken with her husband Russ and her dogs, Lucky and Sparky. You are my sunshine.
Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, April 3 from 4:00-8:00PM in the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial DIRECTLY in St. Andrew’s Church, 283 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford, on Thursday April 4th at 10:00AM. Interment will be private.
