Nathalie T. Macura Soroka, age 90, of Milford, beloved widow of the late John J. Soroka, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 in West River Health Center, Milford.

Nathalie, a homemaker was born in Bridgeport to the late Theodore and Helen (Miller) Macura, and has been a lifelong area resident.

She was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving as a Nurse’s Aide during WW II, and was very patriotic. She loved her country, as well as her family and friends.

Survivors include her devoted son, John D. Soroka of New York, brothers, Theodore Macura of OR, and Leonard Macura and his wife Martha of Milford, and sister, Claudia Immormino of IL, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 31st at 11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, with Rev. Joseph Bertha officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-6 p.m.
