Obituary: Michael Joseph Kwolek, Sr., 69, longtime resident of Milford
Michael Joseph Kwolek, Sr., age 69, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to Frances Colandrea Kwolek, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013.
Born in Bridgeport on December 23, 1943 he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Tuozzo Kwolek.
Until Mike’s retirement he was a machinist for Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. He was an avid Mets and NY Giants fan, he enjoyed fishing and not only watching golf but playing it as well. Mike was also a collector of model cars.
He was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife of 48 years Fran, he is survived by his two children Michael J. Kwolek, Jr. and his wife Kasia of Orange and Stacy Belcher and her husband Michael of Milford; four grandchildren Alex and Emily Rednak and Michael, III, and Matthew Kwolek; one sister Terry Frazier and her husband Patrick of Cheshire and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was predeceased by his two sisters Mariann Moyher and Linda Hoyt.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 5 to 7:30 pm with a memorial service immediate following at 7:30 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mike’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 200 White Plains Road, Tarrytown, NY 10591.
