Obituary: Jacob “Jack” P. Carrasco, 81, of Milford

Jacob “Jack” P. Carrasco, age 81, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at his beloved home, where he and his wife, of 59 years, Joan Grasser Carrasco lived since 1980, moving here from College Point, NY.

Jack proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Before retiring, he was employed by Alimakhek in Bridgeport, where he was a lead man in the shipping and receiving department and was a volunteer EMT at the College Point Ambulance Corps in his spare time.

Jack will be remembered as a great husband, dad and grandfather, whose eyes light up around his grandchildren. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons Glenn and his wife Kim Andes-Carrasco of Seymour and Mark Carrasco of East Haven his granddaughters, Nicole and Marisa Carrasco also of Seymour. Also survived by his brother Hector Carrasco and wife Gerri of Lansing, MI. and several nieces and nephews.

Affordable Cremations, 125 Broad St., Milford is handling the arrangements. All funeral services are private.
