Harold H Stewart, 89, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Rose (Klansky) Stewart passed away peacefully on February 18,2015 at The Connecticut Hospice, Branford.

Born on November 12, 1925 in Bridgeport he was a resident of Stratford for 57 years.

Harold was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving aboard a Destroyer in both the Atlantic and Pacific during World War II. After the war, he worked as a photographer for General Electric and then a milkman for Dewhirst Dairy.

Harold loved all aspects of photography spending many hours photographing and developing the photos in his darkroom. He also loved electronics, building and operating Ham Radios (K1UYL).

He is survived by his three sons: Mark Stewart and his wife Claudia of Milford, Brian Stewart and his wife Laura of Wallingford and Michael Stewart of West Haven; five grandchildren, Mark D. Stewart and his wife Anna of PA, Ronald Patti of PA, James Stewart of Stamford, Douglas Stewart of Bridgeport and Katherine Stewart Graham and her Husband Jordan of Meriden; 7 great-grandchildren, brothers Donald and Robert Reardon, sister-in-law Mary Schiller of Milford; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 24th at 11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Interment with full military honors will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
