Gregory Allen Zaidel, 54, of Bethlehem, Pa., formerly of Milford, Conn., died on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 suddenly.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachael Anne Zaidel of Whitinsville, Mass.; his mother, Lorraine (Piatti) Zaidel of Niagara, Wis.; his sister, Roxanne Larsen and her husband, Glen of Niagara, Wisc.; two nieces, Marisa Walters and her husband, Jeff of Spread Eagle, Wisc. and Lindsey Smith and her husband, Jeremy of Litchfield Park, Ariz.; a nephew, Tobin Larsen and his wife, Emily of Appleton, Wisc., and his former wife, Kimberly Anne (Putnam) Zaidel.

He was predeceased by his infant son, John Joseph Zaidel and his father, John Joseph Zaidel.

Born in Iron Mountain, Mich. on Jan. 16, 1959, he grew up in Niagara, Wisc. He was the younger of one sibling.

Gregory was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1984 with a BS in Chemistry and Business Administration. He was a marketing executive working in the Pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years.

He loved his daughter, who was his pride and joy. He also loved animals, especially his beloved German Shepherd “Maggie” and was an avid equestrian, spending many memorable summers riding with his daughter.

He was a natural athlete and loved to play tennis, baseball, and football. Gregory enjoyed organizing parties, for the family, preparing gourmet meals, baking for the holidays, and especially enjoyed the Fall season.

His funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville, Mass. He will be laid to rest by his son in Riverside Cemetery, Grafton.
