Elizabeth (Kantor) Lloyd, age 81, of Milford, beloved wife of Franklin Lloyd, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 13, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Elizabeth (Betty), the daughter of John and Sophie Kantor, was born in Detroit, Michigan and spent her early life in Monroe, Maine, where she met her loving husband of over 62 years. Together, they raised four children and enjoyed over 58 years together in Milford.

Betty was an active member of the Milford community and St Mary’s Church. She was a dedicated volunteer, teacher, and mentor. She taught English to many people new to our country and culture.

Betty always found new ways to connect with her family, friends, and community; keeping up to date on new technology, social media, and planning events. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter, but mostly she will be remembered for her generous spirit.

Betty was beloved and adored by many, but none more than her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They were a light in her life and she loved them unconditionally.

In addition to her husband Frank, she is survived by her children Earl Lloyd of Torrington, CT; Kathleen Stevenson of Croton-on-Hudson, NY; and Virgil Lloyd of Chester, CT; her grandchildren, Jason, Elizabeth and Susan Shapiro, Frank Harriman, Meredith Hass, Brian Lloyd, Jessica and John Stevenson, and Amy, Daniel and David Lloyd, as well as 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Ruth Treworgy of Knox, Maine and beloved sisters-in-law, Flora Main and Emma Gilbert, both of Milford, CT.

Betty was predeceased by her daughter Lorraine Spring of Unity, Maine.
