David Korenchuk, age 90, passed away at his residence, June 24, 2013.

He was born August 1st, 1922 in New Haven to the late Paul and Anna (Wasko) Korenchuk.

He proudly served in the Navy during WWII. David then received his B.A. in Industrial Engineering and was employed by Sargeant Manufacturing Co.

He was a founding member of the American Society of Quality in New Haven. His greatest treasure in life was his family. He loved walks, time at the beach, and was an avid sports fan whether it was golf, tennis, basketball or badminton. His father was a founding member of Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in New Haven. In 1951, he married Jean who predeceased him in June of 1995.

David leaves to cherish his memories five loving daughters; Diana Korenchuk of Meriden, Janet Korenchuk and Karen (Eugene) Telker both of Milford, Robin (Victor) DeLieto of New Haven and Tracey Korenchuk of Milford. He also leaves five beloved grandchildren, Kristen, Lisa, Kimberly, Carolyn and Matthew Telker, two brother-in laws, Robert Jaser of Orange and John Jaser of Milford, and sister-in- law Patricia Jaser of Milford.

A Service for David will be held Friday June 28th at 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 1 Honeyspot Road in Stratford. Please meet DIRECTLY at Church. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 4 - 7 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N.Broad St. in Milford. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery in Milford with Military Honors.
