Carl Walter Carlson, 95, of Oxford, formerly of Milford, husband of Inez Chase Carlson, died May 11, at home.

Born in Sweden on Nov. 26, 1920, son of the late Carl and Alma Martinson Carlson; U.S. Army, World War II; worked in the automotive services department for Sears and Roebuck Company.  Besides his wife, survivors include his son, K.W. Carlson and his wife, Barbara of Oxford, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a sister, Helen Ward of South Carolina, stepchildren, Russell Phelan, Gary Phelan, Suzanne Laskevitch, Cynthia Bradshaw, Marcia Gaffney and Margaret Phelan, several stepgrandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Also predeceased by his first wife, Dale Speigel Carlson, his daughter, Diane Carlson Keating and his three brothers, Richard L. Carlson, Harry A. Carlson, and Bert G. Carlson.

Services: Saturday, May 28, 11 a.m., Oxford United Church of Christ Congregational, 3 Academy Road, Oxford.
