Angela M. Tolomeo, 88, formerly of Waterbury and Milford, passed from this life on January 3 in McDonough, GA.

Ms. Tolomeo was born on July 26, 1926, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Michael and Clara (Della Camera) Tolomeo.

She was a graduate of Wilby High School and worked at SNET for many years retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Angela was accomplished in needlework having won several awards for her handiwork. She donated countless hours and quilts to the Linus Group Hole in the Wall Gang and knitted layettes for Newborns in Need. Her other interests included canning chairs and refinishing furniture. Her handiwork is cherished by her many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sisters, Bernadette Iorio of Waterbury, Teresa Tolomeo and Clare (Bill) Evon of McDonough, GA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Tolomeo from NY and Nicholas Tolomeo from NJ and a sister, Diane Palmieri from Waterbury.

Her wish was to have her body donated to the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. A memorial Mass and burial will be celebrated at a later date in Connecticut.
