Melissa Beth (Fleming) McGee, 46, a former resident of Windsor, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 along with her longtime companion Kevin Nolan, formerly of Stamford, from a fatal automobile accident.
Born on July 3, 1966, she was the daughter of George A. Fleming III of Milford, CT, and the late Eileen Starkey Fleming.
Melissa was an alumnus of the Windsor Public School system, and graduated from Windsor High School in 1984. She later attended Hartford College for Women.
Melissa is survived by her father George A. Fleming III and his wife, Dr. Mary Jo Kramer of Milford, her son Alexander Schuler and daughter Victoria Schuler, both of Simsbury, her sister Jessica Duers of Mansfield Center, brother Geoffrey Fleming of Columbia, and grandfather George A. Fleming, Jr. of Westbrook. She also will be missed by her aunt, Dr. Valerie Lewis of Groton; her uncles, John Starkey of Center Barnstead, NH and Lowell Starkey of Venice, FL, and her many cousins.
Melissa enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, loved cooking, entertaining, music and theater. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, easy laughter, and talent as an actress in earlier years, and her support of the elderly.
Melissa’s final resting place will be in Windsor, next to her mother Eileen, who she dearly missed. A memorial service will be held to honor Melissa on January 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church in Windsor, Congregational.
