Doris Eleanor Golde

Doris Eleanor Golde, 86, longtime resident of Milford and beloved wife to Herbert Golde, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Milford Hospital.
Born on February 8, 1926 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late George and Lena Lurix.


Prior to her retirement, Doris enjoyed her job as the secretary for Pumpkin Delight school for over 22 years and always made a point of knowing every child by their name.
A kind, loving, dedicated and generous wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she adored her family and enjoyed spending time and playing games with them. Doris will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Herbert of 65 years, she is survived by her children, Wayne Golde (Denise) of West Haven, Bryan Golde of Branford, Nancy Bonaparte (Kevin) of Middletown and Lisa Richetelli (Jim) of Milford; cherished grandchildren, Scott Golde (Meagan), Lauren Paone (Michael), Michelle, Julie and James Richetelli III, Rachel, Kevin and Derek Bonaparte and great grandchildren, Alyssa, Chase and Harper Golde and Michael Paone. Also she is survived by two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Fialk, Ruth Berkowitz (Jack) and a brother-in-law, Phillip Golde and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Tvardzik.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH) at Christ the Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Rd., Milford, CT 06460. Interment to follow at King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mamta Patel, Dr. Armel and Dr. Rosenberg and the entire staff of Milford Hospital for their compassionate care of Doris during her illness.
