Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced this afternoon that he will not seek a third term. The current term runs for another twenty months, ending in January 2019. Malloy made the announcement with his wife, Cathy, and his oldest son, Dannel, at this side, along with Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman.
Malloy began by speaking about the work that the administration has done in his six years as governor to this point. “We have tried to play the long game for Connecticut,” Malloy said, pointing to improvements made in the criminal justice system, affordable housing, and other areas.
